should I buy an iphone at apple store for $699 w/out contract. what should I do if I got one ? Thank for any advice.

There is likely going to be a new iPhone released within the year. If you want to go ahead and get the 3G, enjoy. If waiting isn't an issue there could be some great improvements ahead.

Depends on if you care about being locked into a 2 yr contract. With a new Iphone probably coming out in the summer ...I would wait. It will be cheaper at the subsidized price with contract too.
