OS 3 Scam??

I came across this on Ebay and I was wondering if this was a scam/how it worked/if this was worth it? Any help is appreciated!

I wouldn't buy it. Supposedly, it's enough to find a copy of the 3.0 software and get a Developer here to license you. No money required.

Oh, and you can bet Apple's legal team will get that one taken down soon enough, judging by their quick response on the iPhone Prototype auction (http://www.tuaw.com/2009/03/10/iphone-prototype-yanked-down-from-ebay/).

Looks like a registered developer trying to cash in on his 100 beta testing slots. Lots of folks are doing this. I wouldn't personally hook up with someone on Ebay, but that's just me.

I figured they had a set number of accounts they could liscense as devs, I just want 3.0 early and I couldnt find an easier way :(

Guess ebay agreed as the auction has been taken down. Although, theres still a few up there. I guess there are some devs around here that have slots open....im still looking though. I guess I am just eager, but I do love this phone!
