3.0 Tethering [Archive] - iPhone Forums

I was wondering if anyone got tethering working with the iPhone yet. I got the .ipcc to unhide the settings to turn it on, but haven't had any luck with my computer recognizing my iPhone as a modem.

I do not have Bluetooth in my computer by the way. Running an HP laptop with Vista.

I got it to work, but I used BT. Have you tried the USB cable?

i have bluetooth in my computer but it cannot find my iphone when i turn BT on. as for the usb cable, it just doesnt recognize it as a modem. any help here would be great for all of us with this same problem.

I got it to work, but I used BT. Have you tried the USB cable?

Yeah, but computer needs drivers to recognize the iPhone as a modem. Thats the only problem I am having.

Did your Macbook automatically recognize it as a USB modem?

Yes it did. As soon as I plugged it in I got a new network notification. Really didn't have to do anything.
