Is it possible to have a chord running out of an aux port into the bottom of my iphone 3g that will charge it AND play music? I don't think so but want to settle it once and for all.

I am using the aux in with a pioneer headunit in my car and don't want to run a chord out the headphone jack AND have a charger chord coming out the bottom of the phone into the cigarette lighter outlet...picky I know but...

It says its not compatible with the iPhone 3G but it works with mine. I just get that error message when I plug it in.
