Finally managed to get this working, wow what a pain. (At&T)

1. Now that I've managed to get the MMS added to my account what feature if any did I lose on my IPhone.

2. Is it even worth the cost for the application in light of the new OS 3.0?

The only feature you lose with swirlyMMS is the viewmymessages text messages, you won't get them any more, now you will get the mms on your phone.

It's 8 bucks, if it works it's worth it to have mms until summer when it will be in the stock app, if it stops working...then no it won't have been worth it. Mine has been working for months and feel I have already gotten my money's worth out of it, so when I stop using it in the summer when 3.0 goes live...I won't feel bad.

I completely agree with you. To me it was well worth it and I have got a ton of use out of it...

ok newbie here

have 3g and its jailbroken and have swirlymms installed
account is att family plan with 4 phones, my iphone, wifes lg vu, and kids camera phones.

We have the unlimited family text plan $30

I can get swirly to work it and miss if i spend 10 minutes playing with different setups each time i want to use it.

how can i get it to work without having to play with it everytime?

]I to find it very hit and miss! It can be fine one day and send no problem then day after struggle to send.... been like this for a while now. Still it will do me to the update comes out.

Yes I have been hitting save and done as required depending on which step I am on.

Took this newbie a bit to figure out what smsettings was, but did then reset permissions and then sent myself a mms and worked flawlesssly! Waiting for family or friends to wake up and send me a few mms messages to test it out for final verdict!

Update- friend sent a mms message and I got the error message of wrong settings again, I tried to send him a mms also and got error message! LOL back to the drawing board and any advice is grateful

did you try to respring after the permission fix? That's in sbsetting also. I really don't know what else could cause your problem. It does not matter which settings I choose. They all work if your setup with AT&T to use mms. I have tested every att setting in swirly and all have worked flawlessly.

Just tried respring and still got errors! Gonna try reset permissions again than respring then send receive!

My current settings in swirly are

Mmsc. Mmsc.Cingular.com
Proxy. 66.209.11.32

Phone. Motorola_v360

Everything else is blank

Tried your settings and worked like a charm , then waited 10mins tried again and got error! Damn AT&T!

Think I will try sticking my sim card in wifes LG and sending some mms and receive some then put it back in mine trick tonight

Your waiting for the "m" to turn green right?? If it's not green you will get error. It's up by your battery when swurly is open.

Also make sure the files your sending aren't to large. Most phones have a 300kb file size limit on mms.

Was not able to see the m with the theme I was using, so took that off waited for m to turn green and still no luck

Yea have been test sending to self with small photo file, still a no go
