View Full Version : How can i downgrade my ipod touch (2g) to 2.1.1?

I upgraded by ipod touch using bootleg thing firmware 3.0 os beta.
It worked and i was able to use bluetooth and all the featrues however when i try to sync with itunes it says you must be a devolper.
How can i downgrade back to 2.2.1

Hi if you go to youtube and type in 2.2.1 ipod touch firmware you will find it. then you must restore to the 2.21 with itunes hope this helps

You must put the iPod touch into DFU (Driver Firmware Update) mode. This way, iTunes cannot say no to downgrading it (its excuse is a error code :/) But be carefull, Ive had problems with 3.0 But apple helped me (after asking why i was using 3.0 when i wasnt a developer; Try making a good excuse for that one)
