Did a search and only found one thread on insurance with this company and there's only one person in that thread that said they used Compcoach and they only had one post. Not that reassuring.
I'm debating on getting it for my wife and I's phones. If there is anyone out there that has Compcoach and has filed a claim can you please post and give your opinions of them?
Not sure if that violates any rules of the forum but if so, I'd ask that you PM me directly please.
Thank you everyone.

I also was looking into using them, but what you have to understand is that they are not as greedy as the other companies. If you look at the last line of the coverage it makes more sense.
Replacement handsets are generally new units, however refurbished units may be sent depending on availability of new units. All refurbished units will be "like-new".
When you send them your unit that has been damaged they will use the parts that are not broken to fix other phones, so if you have water damage and I have a cracked screen the swap teh screen buy new shells/cases and then send that unit as a reaplcement. I know that it is more in dept than that, but you get the general idea. So if you make a claim which is set at 1 per year then you spend 109.00. Well they are getting there parts in bulk so with the use of your broken phone, and three others that can replace one phone. So tehre income is 436 for 4 phones, minus the expense of cases, if they even have to buy new cases since most of us keep our phones in like new conditions with added protection any way.

Do NOT use Compcoach. The are a rip off. I purchased this insurance for my son & I originally endorsed them in a previous post. I had a good experience with my son's original claim. But the 2nd claim was a NIGHTMARE. They charged an extra $100 deductible to my credit card...then they weren't answering their phones. Not responding to voicemails. Not returning emails. Website wasn't working properly. They emailed back that they had accidently sent out a batch of BAD replacement phones, so there would be a delay!!! They've changed their policies multiple times. Terrible terrible customer service. I figured they were going out of business. After many days went by, we ended up buying a new iphone for my son, since he uses it for business.
WEEKS LATER..... Finally, after going so far as to contacting previous employees on Facebook to see if they had indeed gone out of business, they sent out a PHYSICALLY DAMAGED replacement iPhone. Can you believe that!! It was cracked on the back plastic housing. I asked them to exchange it for an undamaged one... once again: NO RESPONSE to my complaint! They magically erased our claim ticket, even though we got a confirmation email stating they received it. Put in ANOTHER ticket, referencing the number to the old one... they said NO exchange. They felt it "worked" even though it was cracked on the back. Then they had the audacity to claim it was a fraudulant request since we had purchased another New iPhone while waiting WEEKS for the replacement and intended to sell this one to recoup our costs!!!
Dishonest. False Advertising. Bad Customer Service. I could complain on & on... They also go by iPhoneCarePlan.com and Oceano.com.ec and Compcoach.com. They have a Blackberry repair plan and netbook repair plan, too. They now have an iPhone Care Plan.
I would not trust sending anything of value to them for repair... Especially when they go out of business, and have your stuff.....

Is insuring really worth it. You have to take into account the chance that something will happen to your phone (which I've had many phones over my life and only 1 time did anything major actually happen) vs the price you pay per month for the insurance. I'd be willing to bet it's more worthwhile just to put a few dollars a month away in case anything happened to your phone so you can purchase a new one and then not have to deal with some insurance company that will inevitably try and rip you off. All insurance companies are pretty much the same and just want to make money.

I signed up with them and a few weeks later (ironically, as soon as my coverage kicked in) they sent me an email saying that they had DRAMATICALLY reduced their coverage and would no longer replace phones with new ones, wouldn't cover lost or stolen phones, etc. They offered me a full refund and I have not heard a word from them since. I have sent 8 emails and called twice and no one will respond. I have, in writing, that they are going to refund my money but now no one even responds. I'm begging you not to use this company.
