Im looking for a new case for my iPhone since I lost my Sena Ultraslim :(
-I think it was inevitable that it would soon come up missing since it was a "sleeve" case where you just take the iPhone out to use it...and now Im looking for a case that is actually a "case" that will actually cover up the iPhone itself ya kno:2cool:

So far Ive been looking at the DLO Jam Jacket cause its silicon and looks nice but I want to hear some user reviews or some advice from fellow iPhoners who may have had good experiences with other case:wink:
-Remember I have the iPhone v1.

Thanks EiC!

What's wrong with the Incase Slider?

It's classy looking and offers great protection.

Seidio Innocase II. It's what I would get if I had a 3G.

They are well worth the price. The biggest problem is choosing which one. :tounge: They have soooo many good ones. I currently have the gun metal, but am looking at others.

I wish they had a gun metal version for the v1 hehe I guess sooner or later Im gonna have to "upgrade" to the 3G or v3 cause there's like nothing made or being made for us "last" v1'ers hehe:wink:

I agree, worth the price. I've dropped my phone too many times and it's still working perfectly. I need to get a new case though. I've dropped it so much it's cracking now. I'm in your same boat, I need to save up some money first.

A word of caution though. I have a incase slider for my 3G and I've had it in a case since I bought it. I've dropped my phone probably like four times ever. At the bottom of where the dock connector is the casing on the phone is cracking. So me and a buddy went to the Apple store and talked to one of the people there they recommend a case that has both a hard shell and somewhat of a silicone or soft inside. This is just my experience with it though. I hope this will help ya darkside.

Yako- The cracked iPhone casing might not be because of the Incase. The iPhone 3G's plastic back has been known to crack, and is replaceable by Apple at no charge.

Yeah your totally right im not positive if it was cuz of the case but just thought I'd mention it. I love the case except for the fact that it also scratches up my back pretty bad! Really!? they will replace it for no extra charge?!

Yes, the cracked casing is a known defect of the 3G back. Not all of them have it though. Just take it in to the Genius Bar and you should walk away with a new (refurbed) phone.

I wonder if its worth turning it in? I have been lucky enough to not have any problems with it. The biggest worry is it has kinda spread. I really hope I don't get a refurb iPhone...

If you take your phone in for exchange, the chances are nearly 100% that you'll get a refurb. But refurbs from Apple really are very, very good. Many (including myself) would say they're more likely to be perfect than a new unit.

You can buy the Incase Slider at just about any Best Buy.

I have a question for you Slider users...how do you carry around your phone? Do you have a leather pouch that you put it in on your belt? I like to have my phone on my belt, but I'm not seeing an economical way to put my 3G in a Slider and then purchase another leather case for my belt!

I currently have a Contour Showcase, which has been great, but I am beginning to think it detracts from the look of the 3G. It's pretty bulky. However, I don't want to throw another $50 at cases!!!

Well I made my appointment and its today in like 20 min so I'll go ahead and turn it in and replace it. Thanks guys:laugh2:

I ended up buying the InCase Slider in white and getting a Case Mate Leather Top-Loading case for a Treo...and it works GREAT! The Case Mate was $10 on clearance. Good stuff!

I got my Ivy Quattro T4 about a week ago and it is really pretty and protects everything. The glass screen is perfect, no difference in touch pressure at all, very sensitive. The look is smooth and sophisticated. The only downside I have had is I was so eager to put it on that I didn't bother to clean everything first, and it is a ***** to take off!! So just be sure to get everything totally clean and smudge free, put it on, and you are set and your 'baby' is very protected.

Hmmm...thanks for that garthgirl! Now I have to consider taking the Incase back and look at this one! It's looking pretty sweet! And from their video on YouTube, they're planning on coming out with a back that slides into the front that is a battery backup! Add the belt clip and I'm really thinking about this one! ...and it comes in white which is a MUST for me! :)

That's a LOT of money for a case, though...

I got my seido case in last week and im loving it!! The sleek design its light and not bulky resembles the incase slider, I think the felt lining is a plus and the cut out for the Apple logo is a pretty cool design. It's much easier to take off than my incase slider, that was a pain in the a** to get off!

Its not the most "mature" looking case, but I absolutely LOVE my Speck CandyShell case! Hard cover and silicon inside!

I would love the candyshells too if they came in any decent colors. I mean the idea of the soft inner case and the hard outer shell is great, but the colors are just BAD! I would hope that the designers would look around at the awesome colors available from other case makers and wake up and get some of those great colors incorporated into their great designs.
The Darius ones a couple of you have purchased are truly beautiful, BUT.. they offer no protection on the front. They need to wrap around and give that protective lip so that when you put it face down (so everyone can see the awesome colors) the glass screen isn't touching the table.
I still like the Quattro T4, but it too is not perfect. It has the protection angle covered hands down. It also earns points in the looks department, a few good colors and a nice finish and touch ( but not the wow colors of the Darius). But after three weeks I started getting the dreaded "oil spots" on my screen that got progressively worse. Trying to get my iphone out was almost impossible, so I could try to clean the spots away, which didn't go away no matter what I did. On top of that... IT CRACKED! First on one side of the screen between the glass and the back - where the case is a very thin strip, then in the same place on the other side. Needless to say, after spending over $45 on the case I expected it to lase a lot longer then 3-4 weeks. Ivyskin did finally send me a new one for an additional $15 since it was past their "TWO WEEK" warranty period. So we will see how this one does.

Not sure if they're still easy to get, but the Agent 18 cases are very nice as well. They are similar to the Slider, and both will work well.

I was looking at the Case-mate "Barely There", where it appears to offer good protection while still showing the nice chrome edge around the iPhone. However, the case is only $19.95, but Case-mate charges a whopping $52.00 just for shipping... almost double the cost of the case itself.

Next in line is the Incase Frame Case which seems to afford a little more protection than the Case-mate, and the cost is higher as well at $39.95. I presume most here are recommending the Incase model?
