Dev question?

ok so this maybe a dev question but here it goes...does anyone know if there is an app out there or if there is anyone working on an app or if its even possible to have an app to control just about everything (tv, automation, lights, etc.) much like the logitech remotes out there already. I know a lot depends on IR which the iPhone doesnt have but is there a way to do something like that on periferals attached to a PC?

Yes, you could do this. Since in the new 3.0 firmware you can interface with 3rd party hardware you could easily make an IR remote that attaches to the phone and use your app to send the codes to the IR receiver.

If you want to fund the effort I know some people would develop it :)

that would be awesome but i doubt i can fund it...i'd love to work on it tho...im trying to get the beta 3.0 to look at developing something like that...fingers crossed...i think this would be a cool app to have...thoughts?
