When i am at barnes and nobles, I can elect to be on wifi.

The little wifi signal appears at the top left but my phone appears to be loading something forever.

Can't surf the net....but when I go back to 3G all is well.

Is there something else I must do to get wifi at barnes and nobles...

thanks

If you are having issues using a commercial (paid) Wi-Fi hotspot, like at an airport or coffee shop, try renewing your DHCP lease....demonstrated on the link. Just a suggestion. I would also try toggling Wifi and maybe a reboot on the phone as well.

It might just be that their wifi is overloaded with users at the time...

I had the same issue at Peet's Coffee and found out you had to get a code at the register that was good for 2 hours. One way to keep non paying individuals from hogging the seats especially when near a college or university. Also I was flying out of SeaTac a few weeks ago and you had to pay to use the wifi service there. It is run by the port authority or commission and they see it as a way to raise revenues, translated taxes.
