I did a jailbreak on my G3, version 2.2 using QuickPwn for windows. After running QuickPwn I used WinSCP as reccomended by a post on this site. If I understand correctly, I will then use WinSCP to add/remove programs and/or files I do not want. Question is, using WinSCP do I need to run SSH. Seems I see the SSH in various places such as the Toggle SSH feature. I truely wish there was a NEWBIE Section as to avoid redundant questions/post on every web forum. Maybe someone can compile a start to finish manual for both MAC and Windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all that respond.

Yes - WinSCP is your 'client' at the computer end of things. You still need SSH (or more likely the OpenSSH flavor of it) to be running at the iPhone end of things, so computer and iPhone can 'talk'.

When you see SSH mentioned in places that let you toggle it on/off, that is only going to affect the iPhone side - and turn the SSH service on or off on your iPhone.

It is a good idea BTW to keep it toggled Off except when you are connecting to it from your PC.
