So I jailbroke my 3g using QuickPwn following the gizmodo tutorial and had everything working fine. Then today my phone app started crashing everytime i brought it up, so i tried resetting by erasing all settings and data through the iPhone. Now, everytime I turn on my phone, it displays the QuickPwn pineapple start-up screen and doesn't go any further. I've tried connecting it to my MacBook and turning it on again to try and restore it from iTunes but it still doesn't fully turn on. I've tried resetting by holding down the Home + Power buttons for 5 or however many seconds but that too gives the same result. Is there any way to reset my phone so I can at least get it back to factory software?
All help is appreciated, thanks.

Put it in DFU mode then hook it up to iTunes. Make sure you're plugged into the computer first before you put it in DFU mode.
DFU Mode- Power off the phone. Press and hold the home button and sleep/wake button for 10 seconds with the phone off. After the 10 seconds is up, release the sleep/wake button but keep pressing the home button until iTunes pops up.
PS: What OSX Version are you running. Go to the Apple logo in the top left of the status bar and click on About this mac. If it's 10.5.6 you're going to run into issues with your computer and DFU mode. There is a fix out - Search DFU Mode Fix in the search bar and you should be able to find it..

I'm running 10.5.6 but I'm using the 10.5.5 USB drivers that I installed like the gizmodo tutorial said to.
Thanks!
WORD that worked like a charm.
