Jailbreak on 2.2.1 question

I am trying to decide whether to jailbreak my iphone or not and i have some questions.

Does it still hang on the pineapple screen in 2.2.1 after jailbreak?
Does it still do the stuck in restore thing with the apps in 2.2.1?
Is it easy to change my sms tone once jailbroken?
will this process ever brick my phone?
do i have to sync in itunes any different?
do i have to wipe my iphone before jailbreaking?
is it easy to reverse the process?
