Hello,
I am in the UK with a black 8GB iPhone 3G on the O2 network. I am currently trying to get rid of a leading zero, what I mean by a leading zero is this:
Time with leading zero: 09:20PM
Time without leading zero: 9:20PM
I know this can be achieved by selecting the New Zealand region in the Settings, but it affects Safari by changing Google to NZ. I have looked through many plist files today and found nothing which would be relevant to this issue.
All help is appreciated

Wait, so you're saying that the time on the phone is displayed as 09:30 instead of 9:30?

happy days, nice to have more british people on here. I'm probably thinking there is an app or something that is already available for things like this. I know MIM (MakeItMine) lets you change your 'banner' as in your o2 carrier logo and you can totally get rid of the time, but... thats not what were after. i'll have a look around and see what i can find out

Still looking (honest)
I think i remember this as a bug a couple firmware versions ago. Change the time to 24 hour time, reboot, and then change it back. See if that helps

I'm on Rogers in Canada, and for me I just changed the clock to 24hr clock and set my time zone to Toronto. Works fine.

It's not a bug, I already tired that so many times.
@partizan, I think it's different for the UK.

Right then, instead of just putting sad smilies all over the place, I decided that I need to investigate myself. So...does anybody have any idea where to start?
Contact your carrier and see if they might need to send a signal to your phone. otherwise I would try changing countries, formats, time zones, etc. -things you probably already tried.

Hmmm...I'll definitely have to contact them. If any of you guys do find something let me know, I'll bump this every now and then.

Right, I analyzed some files in the UIKit/DateFormats folder and there were some interesting things, I'd modify them with from like the Virgin Islands but I don't want to mess my phone us as it's crucial for me to have it on all day.
I also found this on Google:
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&rlz=1B3GGGL_en-GBGB320GB320&q=extra+leading+zero+on+24+hour+iphone&btnG=Search&meta=
Second result down, should be some chinese one, please let me know!

Now I'm not so sure on the chinese one, as I think it requires you to install something which I don't want to as I have many apps as it is.

Reading on MacRumours, it looks like it's all in the ICU file. I'll be definitely investigating this, need to restore my iPhone so if it breaks, not a problem.

Investigating delayed, stupid work.

Ah well, nobody seems to be helping. :(
All I can do is nudge Apple like fu** but I doubt they'll listen.
