I installed both Cydia and Installer, but not sure what installer does. Is it necessary or can I remove it?

i don't use installer and i wouldn't recommend anyone to use it either. glad to see you got jailbroken, now wasn't that easy??

yes, lol it was very easy. now, can someone tell me how to remove installer? i tried doing it by holding down my finger on one of the icons, but it didn't give me an option to remove.

Only way i know is this:


1. Restore to normal sett.
2. Jailbreak using quickpwn and when it prompts for u to choose which repo to add (cydia/installer) choose only cydia...
3. Enjoy thr lag, if u get "lucky"

i would have to restore my system to default first?

i haven't had any lag yet.

can i save all that i've downloaded or do i have to re-download everything?

I would just leave Installer there and igonore it. Next time you jailbreak (the next time Apple releases a new FW version), choose the option of "Cydia only". Definatetly not worth the trouble of rejailbreaking just to remove one app.
