Me personally I don't see an iPhone being released anytime soon. The 3G is selling so well why would they put out another one. If anything they'll wait months after the pre is released so they can see what that phone is all about.

^i'd have to disagree, why not capitalize on their large grasp of the market?? with so many people wanting and getting iphone 3g's, why not introduce an ever better and more expensive model (aka iphone pro). i'm not saying they are going to introduce it anytime soon, but it does make sense to seize the day with this marketing strategy. i know i would get one if it came out, and i'm sure a lot of us would as well.....

Right. As I said in another thread, Apple could wrap the new iPhone in a plastic dog turd and people would rush out to buy it because it's something new from Apple.

I don't think there will be any major feature revisions until 3.0, which will likely release with new hardware.

Again, we're just guessing here. My guess is that Apple will make sure the software is backwards compatible, as well as any software-only features they add, with the 1st- and 2nd-generation iPhones so as not to fragment their Appstore so young in its history.

Also, if they were to add MMS or c&p to new hardware without adding it to existing iPhones, you would see an uproar like none that Apple has ever experienced.

I think it will be same OS, same software, just the new phone will run it with a faster processor... maybe multitasking? The only other main difference would be if they added video. I'm not so sure they would put a hardware-limited video player app on the old iPhones.

I read it and my first thought was 24 AT&T stores and I thought who gives? Makes sense now. Danish isn't on my list of known languages. Though i do know a few from Copenhagen.

I haven't lived in boston for almost a decade, and that store is still the first thing I think of every time I see this thread title. It would be crazy if you could get an iPhone there.
