My wife and I both have iPod Touch's, I've heard that we can share apps by linking both iTouch's to the same account, is that correct?

If it is I presume that any apps that we've already purchased would be lost from the one account that we are disabling.

Also would we still be able to register the one account to two separate iTunes accounts on two separate laptops?

Your feedback on this would be appreciated as if this is still possible it would be great.

Thanks

Craig

yep, although it would be worth a phone call to iTunes customer service to see if they'll merge your accounts.

yep.

Wow, this seems too good to be true, what are the downsides of doing this and would iTunes Customer Service merge accounts without good reason?

there isn't really a downside other than having another person buying stuff on your account. I assume you trust your spouse, so that shouldn't be much of an issue for you.

the other thing is that if you do use two computers, any purchase you make on one will not automatically download on the other. You will have to manually transfer music and videos, or manually re-download apps.

Me and my wife share apps. It's nice to only have to pay for something once for two people to use it. For apps we both use, it basically halves the price of them.

i share an account with a friend of mine and anything one of us buys on the app store the other can also download then for free.
really the only risk is that the other person might just go ahead and steal money from you by buying a bunch of things but since its your wife im sure you can trust her (maybe)

Thanks for the feedback, no issues of trust here so I should be good. Have just tried this out and sure enough I have just downloaded the apps that my wife purchased and I am good to go.

The iTouch just gets better!
