Did you try resetting everything?

First make sure the switch on the side didn't inadvertently get turned off ;) Then reboot it by pressing the home and power buttons while ignoring the red slide to turn off. If that doesn't work, reset the settings, if it's still not working, you'll have to restore it in iTunes.
