I jailbroke my 3g iphone 2.2.1 a couple days ago and now my home button quit working. now i cannot go set it to dfu, to restore and go bring it in to the apple store. Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this.

Or is there a program i download that will put my phone into dfu/recovery mode for me with out the home button working.

Thanks a lot
Radis

Can you explain further about the Home button not working?

Not sure if this will work, but you could give it a try.

Alternate Method: Going Into DFU Mode Without Button Pushing:(on windows) Easier than timing the buttons just right!
1.) First download the required archive http://www.sendspace.com/file/93fx93 (https://webmailcluster.perfora.net/xml/deref?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sendspace.com%2Ffile%2 F93fx93)
2.) Extract the archive to the root of your hard drive, should be C:/DFU/
3.) Connect your iPhone and ignore iTunes
4.) Goto Start - run
5.) Next type in “c:/dfu/dfu iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu”
6.) Wait for iPhone to show a “white” screen
7.) Now you may proceed to downgrade!

I have never had to go into DFU to do a restore...
