Incase Slider Case Scratches my iPhone!

Has anyone had this happen to them?
My incase slider keeps scratching my iPhone up and down when I take
it off to clean the dust that collected near the on/off, camera, volume controls, headphone jack. What do I do? I buy this 40.00 case to
protect my phone yet it scratches it? What should I do?
I'm not too happy with this :[
I am a perfectionist and this is the last thing id want my 3G
to go through :angry::angry::frown::frown:

Exactly why I avoided the incase product. Plastic on plastic will scratch, no matter what you do.
I have an "iSkin Solo" cover, works great. Had it on since October, no scratches at all.

Do you ever take it out and clean the grit and dust out of the inside of the case? May be time to break out the green scrubby for stainless steel look!

I have the red metallic and it hardly collects any dust and I throw it in my pocket all day long. I have so scratches anywhere on the black plastic from taking it in and out. I cut out a square out of extra screen protector to cover the apple logo (use seidio innocase as well) so I dont know if that helped but all the incase sliders I've used have been flawless.

Was it a tight fit when you bought it? Flash? I tried mine at the store and bought it on the spot. I can take my phone out without force as well. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Yep - it scratched my iPhone. Straight down through the Apple logo on the back. I'm going to move to a leather or rubber case...

I was over my return date
but since they noticed the case was scratching
my phone they filed it as a complaint
and replaced it.

i have the iSkin Revo2 for the 3G, man, best case evarrrrrrrrrrrrr, esp when you combine it with the revo clip

but that is because i probably slid it on with dust underneath it
anyway i could care less because i never take my incase slider off
and it looks so like new with it on

hey pjds juss cuz im surrounded by girl don't mean they are hoes, they're my friends. Idk if you want to call that an insult or a compliment honestly. ANYWAYS back to the topic, Yes im a dude, and my iPhone is also lookin like its brand new! and iGot it like almost 2 months ago. The bottom bezel part where the charger is got some scratches but thats because sometimes i try to find the usb connector without looking and stick it up the bezel area, but overall my phone looks flawless except those very little scratches on the back and the minor bezel scratching.

Well, Sunday I found that the incase slider scratched my phone as well. I figured out why. The outter edge of the rubberized rails is slightly higher than the rails are- especially after the phone has been in there for a while compressing the rubber. Those edges are what scratched my phone. I wrote to incase about this, and I already understand that this is not a warranty covered problem. I think that it's something that needs to be addressed immediately though. The case itself can withstand some serious abuse, but if it's going to scratch the phone in the process, then it's not as "Worth it" as I previously stated.
Right now I am looking at the innocase II.

My favorite case is the Incase Slider Case. I had an incident where it was really windy near a construction site with an uncovered mound of sand was blowing around in the air. The sand was all over me, even got in my mouth. I had my phone in my pocket protected, I thought. But unfortunately a piece of sand from the construction site got in between my phone and the case when the phone was in it and Scratched the hell out of the back of my phone when I slid it off. There was nothing I could do. It was so wrong. I felt the scratching but there was no way to stop it. I just make sure I clean my phone and the inside of the case before applying it to my phone. I also clean sporadically during the day just to make sure there is no dirt or grit in there.

I love my slider case, I clean it once a week and the back of my phone looks like new. Just make sure to get EVERY little bit of junk off of the rubber inserts along the back and you should be good.

Also, I had a rubber case on my 1G iPhone, and it fell about 1 foot and the screen shattered, so plastic is where it's at.
