iphone disk space question

Does anyone know what 'other' is when i check what space i have left on my phone via iTunes?

Seems to to tkae up an awful lot!!!

If you are jailbroken, I believe it's the data from the JB apps. Otherwise, it's system files and data that do not fall into the categories of Photos, Music, Videos, or apps.

Temporary Internet Files
Contact Info
Application Saved Data (saved games etc)
Email Storage
SMS Storage
Cookies
Album Arts
Etc
