can the iphone download movies?

While it may be possible I've not found a way to do it directly on the phone (non jailbroken iPhone 3G) you can download many current and past movies using iTunes on your computer and sync them to the phone. You can also export DVD's and downloaded movies from your computer to the phone. There are several programs available to convert them to a format that the iPhone can view.
