I currently have a jailbroken 3g iphone and looking to play with a new toy. I came across someone is my area with a unlocked storm for 300. I wanted to know your personal experience with using the storm. I would hate to waste 300. Also does the 3g work on the unlocked version of the storm? Pros and Cons please.

Please see this thread (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/general-discussion/iphone-why-did-i-doubt-you-blackberry-storm-an-electronics-failure-43045.html) for one person's personal experience.

I've only heard things such as you can't type very fast since you're waiting for each 'click' press before typing next letter...and it misses letters sometimes. (no personal experience here)

I have both the Storm and the iPhone and when it comes to texting the Storm is the way to go but if you want to surf the web get the iphone.

i've had the storm for 2 weeks now and am taking it back tomorrow and keeping my 3g iphone, it may have video and mms and the famous blackberry email but the safari browser is much better and the storm lags bad sometimes and you have to pull the battery and wait 4 minutes for it to boot up...

mabye in the future 2nd gen storm will be better, but for now i love my iphone!

I don't know whats so "famous" abot the blackberry email, Ive had the blackberry pearl and curve and I use heavy email with 4 accounts and I think the iPhone's email is a lot better.

Doesn't the Storm only work on CDMA networks?

Here's my review of the BlackBerry Storm (http://www.everythingberry.com/articles/2008/12/1/blackberry-storm-review/) over at EB.

Yes, but it also has GSM support for int'l traveling. If you unlock it, it will work on ATT or T-M but it will not support 3G, only EDGE.

I liked the display better than the iPhone, but it is different. Clicking is OK too, but I wonderd about longevity. As with everything else - pros and cons depending on what you like.

Please don't go for Storm.terrible man!!!
to type one small SMS taking half an hour. Press and Touch is useless.
