Google sync uses exchange server which means your contacts / calendar and soon mail can be synced via push therefore you are always upto date. Saves waiting for the fetch service. Also its a 2 way sync, so your contacts and calendar are up to date on your devices.

I find this to be a great tool, i use it to sync both contacts and calendars.

I would definitely use google sync because it's free. But i'm a paid member of MobileMe which does the same thing as google sync.

One drawback of MobileMe is that you cannot set a reminder option when you insert a new calendar entry through their web client.

No problems with my sync. You must have done something wrong.

Same here... and I actually merged my contacts with Google before turning it on by using that option in i-tunes.

It has made things so much easier on me for work. The Google Calendar part, make it worth it for me. My Lotus Notes work Calendar updates Google.. Google then pushes it to my phone. It's made life much better for me since it actually put the entries in to the Calendar on my phone.

How do you get your Lotus Notes to sync with Google?

Lotus Notes 8.5 allows you to add a Calendar. So it basically merged your Lotus Notes to Google. It all depends on how your administrator has things set up. this may help.

It's not a perfect scenario. But for now. it will get me by.
