Found this one on eBay. most people are charging 120 bucks.
My screen is just cracked and not the digitizer or the lcd screen.
Will the ebay one work. 10 bucks is hell of a lot cheaper than 120.

You're going to need the screen with digitizer because the cracked screen is attached to the digitizer and it will come off when you go to replace the screen.

Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320319522961) is the eBay item I bought back in December and it was exactly what was needed. $40 or so shipped.
This one should work as well. (http://cgi.ebay.com/Apple-Iphone-3G-LCD-Touch-Screen-Panel-Digitizer-USA_W0QQitemZ270343983923QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_Ac cessories?hash=item270343983923&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1309%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50)

It really isn't that difficult at all as long as you have some patience. The hardest part (that isn't covered in any of the videos I found) was removing te metal casing from the old screen to affix it to the new one. This requires either a hair dryer or a heat gun and care not to bend then metal. From there you can just glue (I used a TINY amount of rubber cement) the casing onto the new screen and screw everything back in.
I probably made it sound more difficult than it actually is, but like I said, have patience and don't try to rush anything and it should be relatively easy.

Check out ifixit.com for some nice instructions.

When it comes to something of this nature and unless your mechanically inclined which Im not I just assume pay the $120 and let someone who knows what their doing fix it. Nothing worst than taking something apart, putting it back together and the phone not working at all.
Hope everything works out for the best
