I had this same problem various time. I just turned off my router and kept it off for a good 30 second then turned it back on. My phone picked up the signal right away after that.

There seems to be quite a few people (+/- 1500) experiencing this same issue over at apple's forum. I think 2.2.1 breaks Wi-Fi.

go into your wifi settings. delete it off of the list. restart the phone and make it connect back to it as a new network. it will ask for the password. this has happened to me and works everytime.

Does this occur on all wifi networks or just your home network? Do you use mac filtering on your home network? If so have you entered your iPhones mac address into your router?
