It is intended to inform customers that BBY cannot match the liquidation prices... not that once it's all done there won't be any Circuit City pricematching.

True. It was either a clever, malevolent individual, or a thoughtless corporate peon strapped for time.

From experience I can tell you there are many more of the latter at Best Buy.
