I just jail broke my phone and I'm wondering what I need to download from cydia. Also, what is the installer app? I've downloaded some themes but can't find them. What are some essential apps to get? Thanks

Launch cydia and download and play with their featured apps, that'll keep you busy for awhile :) Then you can browse through the categories for more.

can't help with themes, don't use them myself.

Download WinterBoard. That's an application that allows you to set different themes. It'll pop up on your springboard, it's got a snowflake on it. Open that and it's pretty easy from there.

I haven't heard that....then again I never use installer. I'm a Cydia guy

Installer is still around, but I heard and read so many places, that you dont need it!? Also some JB'er having trouble with both Cydia + Installer....anyway, it's up to you! ;)

To get your themes working you have to use winterboard.
Also I like cycorder, categories, sbsettings and many more.... all via Cydia
