I am planning on upgrading my Macbook's internal hard drive from the stock 80 gig macbook to a 500 gig WD:

Replacing the drive doesn't seem to be difficult, but after the hardware is replaced I have no way of reinstalling Leopard (lost the CD a while back) and since i do not have an external hard drive, I do not know of any way to create a bootable image of my current (internal) hard drive.

One idea i had was to purchase this 2.5" drive enclosure:

slap the old (stock macbook 80 gig) hard drive into it, connect through USB and restore directly to the new WD drive from the old.

This will be the first time I am attempting to install aftermarket parts into my macbook and my knowledge of computer hardware is very limited. Any tech savy men and/or women out there that could help shine some light on my situation?

Thank you in advance.

Steve
