Nice! I don't know why, but I have a thing for guns. I haven't been out to the shooting range in so long, though...

I love my HK, they really make a quality product. Along with my Calico and several others it is the basis of my home protection system.

Can I ask what type of HK do you own? I have been looking for a high quality pistol for range, home defense, and carry. I have shot just about everything that you can buy. I could have gotten a Glock 22 for 1/2 the price but I just didn't like it at all. they shoot great but there is just something that I do not care for.

I enjoy going to the range and shooting. My father has rifles and handguns a plenty but I really want one of my own. I almost got one a couple years ago but passed on the opportunity.

lol. It does sound a little scary. I do believe you have respect and disclipline through your madness. Think about how many times do you read where a legaly armed civilian commited a crime?

haha i know, i'm just messin around. even though i am an ******* and say stupid **** doesn't mean i would EVER joke around with a firearm. i was in the military so i am no noob to guns, however i just need to put some time aside from working on my PhD, making money, and the other finer things in life in order to get my CCW. i plan on moving to california next year though and i have read it is quite difficult to obtain a permit to carry out there :(

Another favorite of mine. Less concealable than my carry, but packs a punch.
I need to go get me one as well. I have always wanted a handgun. I used to go to a shooting range with a buddy who had 5. It is more for home protection that anything, however. I need to figure out the rules for GUn Ownership here in PA. I never see stores that sell Guns (mainly hand guns) here, either.
I just qualified at the range tuesday for my PI license. Shot 100% :D Not bad for my 4th time shooting...EVER.
Right now I have a Sig P228. I LOVE sigs, and if I could afford it, I would get either a P229 or a P250 in a .40 cal.
Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to purchase anything for a bit, but when I do, it's going to be a Glock 23. I've shot one, and I like it, and it's cheap and reliable, so it makes for a great concealed duty weapon. Plus, all my friends that are or were on a police force highly recommend them. Even my friend who likes sigs and much as I do now carries a G23 as his main weapon ( and this guy has about 30 handguns and a couple dozen rifles - he used to be on the tacticle squad)
But I cannot sell my iPhone for one. LOL the whole reason I am getting my PI license is for part time work to earn extra money (but it seems right now I am spending more than I am getting....) I'll also be applying for my personal carry and conceal permit either today or tomorrow for my off-duty times.
BTW, I would recommend that every legal citizen out there that can have a weapon, get one before someone (coughcoughobamacough) makes it nearly impossible.
And also look into doing your own reloads. Ammo is about to sky-rocket.

Thats the new hk right? Did you sell the iphone and put down some cash for the hk bc the guns are like 700-800$ right?

you find that HK for 700-800 I will buy 2 of them. They have already jumped up in price. There about 900-1050. If anyone is interested I can highly recommend CDNN.com they have just about everything. I live in Texas though and didn't not want to pay tax so I purchased from somewhere else. They are absolutely the lowest price and they have free overnight shipping.

A mark 23 huh. That's a nice piece. I also have a Springfield armory V-10 ultra compact .45 officers model. It hold 10+1 the same as the HK45. It's a nice pistol and has only about a 100 rounds through it.

And now a word from our sponsers,...
If you've been shooting all day, please find a designated driver,
Shoot responsably,...
Don't shoot and drive.
Now back to the program.
You have to dig a little to find out the laws in your area, but they are usually posted out on the web. Just google (state) gun laws.

I really want to buy a gun for self-defence too, but I can't get it licensed except when I turn 18. So.. driving license + gun license in the same day! Woot that will be the best day in my life (besides my university graduation day).

In our nanny state of CA you can't buy 10 rd mags of course thus you just have to be a better shot. I just get them from my family in Texas. That Springfield compact 45 is sweet They make a fine hand gun.

the Springfield is nice but it's not very accurate. The compensated barrel shoots huge flame out of the top which makes it bad at night. A lot of people have had problems with it jamming. I wanted something extremely reliable and accurate for a carry weapon. In texas you can carry a loaded weapon in your vehicle so that where I have the HK when I'm out.

Ken as you certainly know pistols are generally designed for close in work. The size and mag capacity of the Springfield for close in work makes it an acceptable piece, You can go to Wilson Combat and pay a high price for a piece that has been custom designed for longer range work. The HK special ops 45 ACP is so designed. My Colt Combat Commander is ported, throated and has a speed safety. Yes I only have 8 rounds but if I need more than that I better choke them to death with heal dust.:2cool:
