I have the Garageband but I never used it before. Is it cool? Well, the interface looks pretty amazing.

I haven't tried it - I am so un-musical it's scary. But I remember seeing a bit on this at the Macworld keynote and the artilce makes it sound pretty good ...

Same here, I am not a musical person at all. I mean not to the extent of using Garageband just because I like music you know lmao. I just DL and listen, simple as that.

LOL - I'm guilty of singing along, but only when it's just me and the dog at home - and the poor dog can't escape ...

It's pretty fun to mess around with. I've made some decent backing tracks to play over when i have nothing else to do... the included samples and loops make it easy to do.

I've always liked GarageBand - it's a pretty decent tool for doing small edits and compositions. This will be fun to play around with once my iLife box arrives next week.

I try to make my ringtones with GarageBand but have had no success. They usually come out really quiet or the bass destorta the speaker really bad. Is there a way to have it play real loud with no bass?

Yeah, you can adjust the eq on the track in GarageBand... I won't be able to post a pic because I don't have my mac right now, but maybe someone else will be kind enough...
