no they are made for the device only. each device has different dimensions so they are not interchangeable.

There are some that can do that such as the Marware GameGrip, it's $40 and is like a game controller it takes the iPhone, 3G, Touch 1st & 2nd gen. The most common combo's are iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 1G and 2G.
