I recommend these leather (http://www.cases.com/products1.htm) cases, as I use this one (http://www.cases.com/pfai.htm) myself.

Mine is handmade from Italy, and I must say that the quality is good! After 14 months of use, it's still as new. The leather is fine.

These are some nice cases :) For some reason though I prefer silicone cases over leather.

I only use this leather case because it has 3 "rooms" for drivers license, creditcard etc.

I have used Piel Frama before on my previous PDAs, they are very nices and durable. I have always thought they are made in Spain.
But for the Iphone, I liked the Vaja case better.

I bought this "Case-Mate" case at AT&T store when I bought my phone. It fits great and slim. So far no scratches on my phone. It is very nice leather. $29.99

The holster form is just what I was looking for in a case. I keep my iPhone in my pocket so I wanted a case that gave instant access to my iPhone. This products form meets this criteria. The iPhone is protected, but readily accessible.
My disappointment is that the leather material is thin and cheap looking leather. A thicker, more supple leather would make this product infinitely better. Also because the case is not lined, the raw leather backing is the surface directly protecting your iPhone surface. Particles of the unfinished leather get stuck on the surface of the glass. The particles can be removed with a little finger nail action but this is a ridiculous design flaw.
Perhaps a second generation of this case will address these issues. I would be willing to pay more than $19.95 for a higher quality product.
