Is my gym membership paying off? Granted I'm still adjusting to working out so I don't expect leaps and bounds here, but shouldn't I be noticing more?!

Unfair comparison. First you show the left arm, then the right. How do we know that's really your arm?

Hayesimus
01-21-2009, 10:23 PM
actually the second image is in the mirror. they are the same arm. Eragon... I expected you would notice the backwards apple and the iphone... tisk tisk...

little bit, how much you weigh and what does your normal daily diet consist of?

Hayesimus
01-21-2009, 11:14 PM
I weigh 135 to 140 depending on the time of day lol. And I eat plenty of calories a day. Alas, much of it is void of nutrients. I work 12 hours a day 3 to 4 days a week minimum. WHile at work I use the vending machines. I eat anywhere from 2 times a night to 4 or 5. I get about 5 or 6 breaks a night. I'll eat chips and a cherry pie and a couple corndogs and some peanut butter crackers and some more chips. Yeah. and when I'm off work I'll go through the drive through usually. I'll go to hardees and get a roastbeef combo with large fries and large coke and an EXTRA roastbeef sandwich! I went through wendy's tonight and got a 10pc chicken nugget meal with a large fries and large coke and an extra 5pc chicken nugget. When I go through burger king I'll get a fish sandwich, fries, chicken fries, 2 bowls of macaroni and cheese, and some mozzarella sticks... :D I'm a growing boy. And so is my tapeworm. (not really) (i hope) :p

So yeah. No shortage of calories...

ohhh and all the sodas I drink everyday. I drink a can of coke every break and I drink them at home too. :S Sorry guys... I'm probably the most unhealthy eater. I like healthy food. I do. I just don't have the time to deal with healthy food. And I don't like to cook because I don't know how and I end up wasting some of it because I'm eating for 1. :p

Filming a movie? Wow, you are a busy beaver. Hayes, slow down please. Posting half nekkid pictures leads to all nekkid pictures. All nekkid pictures leads to all nekkid motion pictures. Then you will have to give parts in this movie to some of your girl friends. Your friendships will crumble and you will fall in a never ending spiral of depression. JK of course Hayes. Lost kickin ass last night BTW!

yeah i've always been rather lean. since junior high i've gotten taller but not really gained any weight. I may weigh like 15 lbs more than I did in junior high. I was kinda chubby then though. Not fat by any means, but definitely not like I am now. I just have a super high metabolism. :p

wow you eat horrible. one of my friends eats the way you do, is in awesome physical shape (appearance wise) but started having some health problems and went in to the doctors and his cholesterol was off the charts, as well as some other diet related issues. you really should start eating healthier, even if you can keep the weight off now, that crap WILL catch up to you. also, if you want to gain some good healthy mass, try eating a couple cans of tuna per day, or grill some chicken breasts and put them in a salad with some light dressing. get some whole grain bread rather than simple carbs that turn right to sugar during digestion.

not to mention you will save yourself money if you get a case of tuna and eat that for lunch during a week rather than repeatedly going to the vending machine. cooking is really fun and is a great skill to learn now while you are still young. you can save yourself a ton of money preparing your own meals as well as eat completely healthier. hope you figure this out sooner rather than later.

Dude, you need to learn how to flex your biceps. No one flexes like that. Turn your fist inward as far as you can and flex. You biceps will look bigger.

I never understood wanting to make your muscles bigger. I'm as strong as I need to be in the life that I live.

The most important thing on your body, size-wise, is one of the only things that you can't make bigger... and it only seems to get smaller by comparison. Why do that to yourself?

But regardless, your bicep looks great, Hayes. You and I are nearly the exact same build, only my weight is in my...

...

Right. Nice bicep, Hayes.

I just wanna make my arms and legs a bit bigger because I kinda look like a frog. My trunk is shaped round(ribs) because I'm so skinny and my legs and arms are long and lean... so... yep I look like a frog! I don't care how strong i am. I just want them for looks. :p but you can still touch them... well... not you, dave. oh ok. go ahead... lol

TarekElsakka
01-23-2009, 08:57 AM
Almost everyone builds up their body for the looks you know, the only people who don't are body guards and body builders (like the real ones who go in real competitions).

Anyway I go to the gym so I would stay fit and in shape, I don't care about weight lifting and all that much. I do the treadmill, push ups, belly pressing, etc. at the gym so I'd stay in shape as I told you, and also because that helps me in soccer games. Lately I haven't been going, it's been like a month or two or already and I am kind of getting out of shape now. I am slow when I am playing soccer nowadays haha, I need to go back but I am just trying to find the right time since I am going to start university this February.

Anyway Hayes, good luck building up and don't let Dave touch you, because that always leads to negative outcomes. =)

Nah...
:p

So uhh, let me get this straight, you actually slept on the stairs just to pose your hair? Hahaha :p.

....

Well, uhh, I don't know where your weight is so I am going to assume.

There are three choices:

1) Your butt,
2) Your belly (beer-belly you know lol),
3) Can't really say it or I'll get another warning so yea.

Choose =).

Vanity -- thy name is Hayesimus.

Please... if you knew me at all you'd totally understand how selfconscious I was. Vanity implies I worry about my looks because I think I am beautiful. I'm just tired of feeling unattractive. :p

Nope. I set the timer for 10 seconds, ran to the stairs and attempted to get into my pose and that's what came of it! Its harder than you'd think to pose upside down on a staircase.... my back hurts...

Less carbs, more protein. A lot more. Carbs can give a quick energy burst, but won't add the kind of weight you're looking for. I agree with the shorter hair preference, too; it suited you! No need to feel self-conscious, either - you look fine, Hayes!

o.k. in all seriousness you have to work your triceps more then the bi's.......also dont forget the shoulders as they all fit in together

if what you are eating is true then your diet really isnt the best, you should try some protein drinks or even weight gainer......cyto gain is an excellent product
if you are on a budget any whey protein with branch chain amino acids will also do the job as they tend to be a bit cheaper then the weight gain mixes

also your routine is very important as is ample rest to allow for growth.......a easy routine is to do all of your push momements(bench, shoulder press-front only, triceps push downs and or close grip presses)one day then all of your pulling movements on another(back,t-bar rows, lat pull downs.....then e-z curls, dumbell curls and cable curls)day........then its very important to work legs and abs

i can get into leg workouts later but if time permits do the above 2 times a week and try to rest 1 day,if you need go 2 days and just bush back the routine

after a while your body will(fight back) adapt to the stress you are putting on it,thats normal.......just change up your routine for a few weeks......instead of going heavy with light reps go light with many reps,do all dumbell work combined with core sets

but if all else fails watch the people who really look like they have been training for some time and just ask them questions.......most will really want to help out

good luck and keep going to the gym.......its a great lifestyle
