why do sent emails always show up in my inbox?

i use gmail and have the email account setup on my iphone. whenever i send an email from my computer or my iphone it always gets sent to me in my inbox on my iphone for some reason. why???????????

It's a Gmail issue not specifically related to the iPhone. I had the same problem w/my Treo & Moto Q.

good post -greg...or you can try disabling your sync options in your gmail settings on your desktop and phone...
