I just downloaded ustream wow... this is awesome now just if this was working with 3g

uStream has some bugs, but once they are worked out it will be good.

I'd be willing to get we'll see the Sling player (provided AT&T will allow it) when we see the 3.0 firmware. The reason for this is because of the streaming video within application ability in the 3.0 firmware. Right now you have to launch the quicktime viewer to watch the streaming video which wouldn't allow Sling to do their control of the video very easily. I think the reason for the delay could be because of the 3.0 firmware.

I also have a hunch that the streaming video feature in 3.0 may have arisen because of SlingPlayer.

I don't believe that Orb LiveTV uses the built-in player either, but it works well on the iPhone.

Was looking through my iPhone and just came acorss SlingPlayer Mobile from Sling Media.

$29.99.

I do not have a slingbox, though I was interested in getting one but was waiting for an iPhone app so I could utilize it. I thought this would be a good option other than Orb.

Does anyone have this / use it / like it / dislike it?

I've had it since the app first came out, and I love it! Widescreen TV doesn't play full screen yet, but that's supposed to be fixed in a future update. Until then, you can use the zoom option in the iPhone's accessibility menu to fill the screen.

It should probably be mentioned that, unlike Orb, Sling will only work over wifi on the iPhone.

Again, unless you're jailbroken. Then 3Gunrestrictor will allow most wifi-only apps to be run over the 3g network.

Nah, don't want to do that. My friend jailbroke his phone and it is noticeably slower.

Yeah, the slowdown thing doesn't happen any more with the 3GS jailbreak. Don't know about the current flavors for the V1/3G, but I haven't heard any complaints about slowdown lately.

I use the slingbox av, it's not supposed to work but it does. My question is will the slingplayer update stop my sling AV working?

I just updated the slingplayer software and my slingbox av still works.
