Anybody know where I can find housing for my iPhone 3G. THIS PIECE OF CRAP ALREADY GREW A CRACK AND I HAVE NEVER DROPPED IT ONCE SINCE I GOT IT. AND TO TOP IT OFF, IT'S BEEN LIVING IN A CASE ITS WHOLE 3 WEEK LIFE WITH ME! Lol sorry for getting a bit mad there, Anybody know where I can find some hosing?
Only U.S sellers please because all of eBay is full of Hong Kong Sellers, their housing is 20.00 but I don't have a credit card (paypal) So if anyone can give me a good website where I can find housing it would mean the world to me. Really depressed me when I saw that crack. And its very noticeable too.:angry::angry::angry:

have you tried bringing it back to the apple store? they would replace it for you

they cant replace it for me because I am using it under PAYG. And it's not activated through them. I called them to ask if they would trade it and they said yes BUT I had to get it activated. And I never told them I never activated it. For some reason the iPhone accepted my sim, even though its not jailbroken or unlocked.

In my BlackBerry days, I'd buy parts from cnn.cn. They ship from overseas, but their service has always been excellent. I'm not sure what you need, but they have a handful of iPhone parts.

Maybe a prepaid credit card?

It shouldn't matter who you use your phone with. Do you have it unlocked? All you need to do is restore if your jailbroken and then take it in. Hell I have replaced 2 iPhones in the apple store and neither one had a sim card in it.

Actually I had to get mine replaced, I got it replaced over the phone because the closest apple store is in Sydney (6 Hour plane journey). All they needed was a credit card number, my serial number. They said that I have to send my iPhone in, they will inspect it and if they found that I had voided my warranty though they would charge $200, and then if the warranty was not voided they would send me a replacement.

The best bet is for you to go to an Apple Store, that way you can communicate a lot easier with the person who is deciding whether or not to replace it.

When you need an iPhone replacement they ask you to remove your sim card anyway, so you may aswell remove it. But make sure you bring it.

If you do go about replacing your iPhone, make sure you make an appointment and see what you are required to bring, other than your iPhone.

Once again, Good luck.

I highly recommend ifixit.com. They even have instructions for most of their parts.

Here you are sir.

They said it had to be activated? Wtf? I'm getting my new replacement from apple care on Wednesday -- Thursday at the latest, and of course it had no sim. Just normal warranty.

Ahah, there is no 'buy it' button on that page. I emailed them to check stock but no reply as yet.
