And finally jailbroke my iPhone. Couple questions:

I used quickpwn, and part of the process involved me restoring my phone with a software update iClarified provided. When I restore (should I ever need to go to Apple), do I just restore as usual, or will I have to go find the old 2.2?

When I jailbroke my phone, I lost all my music/vids/apps/etc, and I'm syncing them all back now. Was what happened normal? Also, while I sync, apps no longer show up in green in their own category, they are now orange and under "other." Wth is going on?

How do I start editing the looks of the phone (as in adding a background, etc). What do I install?

And lastly, out of my massive list of questions, what is winscp and openssh? What does each do respectively? Gratz for the help, and sorry, I didnt feel like searching today guys, I'm in a hurry.

When you Sync everything will get put back. Apps are always in Green, The orange is the "other" Dont worry about it, its just the extra misc files.

How do I start editing the looks of the phone (as in adding a background, etc). What do I install? Install Winterboard from Cydia... then download some themes. In cydia go sections scroll down to themes (complete) and download the ones you like.

Open SSH is the tool that allows you to connect to the phone so that the computer can open its file system. Think of it as SSH is the key that opens the door, and Winscp lets you see whats inside.

Iphone Browser also lets you see the files and you can drag & drop things into the folders, or transfer files from the phone to your PC without having to go through iTunes
