Why do I only sometimes get the little beep and vibrate when i get new email. Lately i have to go into my email from the phone instead of it just beeping and telling me i have a new email. Anyone know whats going on here?? thank you

thanks, i had it set to show only 50 recent emails, so i moved it back to 100, thanks alot.

Ahhh, still is not working. Some of my email will come through and notify me, but most of the times i have to open up my mail to get it, does anyone know what could be going on? thanks

Have you set-up iPhone Settings? Remember to set these under "Get new data" (or something like this...I'm Danish.. ;) )
Set it to every 15 minutes / 30 minutes / 1 hour etc.

Ohhh, ok, i wasnt going to the right settings page, thanks. But now every email i send, i get the same one sent to my inbox????? thanks for all your help

Yahoo, and now i cant even receive any emails through my phone. My settings are.... Push is on fetch is every 15 minutes. i have show 75 recent messages. I dont know whats going on????

Don't use Push! - only the other setting!!

i turned push off, now it takes a while for me to get my mail, it says connecting for a while then i can get it, but still dont get the beep notifying me.

Push= Off
Get (hope this is right..)= Every hour (My advise to you)
Advanced= Set-up all the mail accounts that you want the iPhone to pick up every hour..
I don't know why you're not get any "red notification" when receiving new mail(s)!?

And every email i send comes back to my inbox, but it still gets sent...maybe i should just take it in to att or apple.

In "Advanced" you just chose the mail accounts that you want to get...
I have my private, business, Gmail - I just use my business in this case. :smile:

Try settingnthe email on your iPhone from scratch.

Your iPhone is probably set to always BCC yourself.

BTW, i had it on bcc myself... but it just says connecting for a while.. ahhhh
