Not to be confused with 2 girls 1 cup, I suppose.. New to the iPhone, so please bear with me.

My wife and I just purchased iPhone's. I've noticed that if I have one iTunes ID, I can put the same music/apps on each phone. The advantage to doing this is I'm only having to pay for each game/song, etc once. The disadvantage is that it seems we have to share contacts (and I'm not sure what else).

Other than what I've already pointed out, what other pros/cons are there for sharing a single ID?

you dont have to share contacts or other information. You can manually select what information you want to sync to the iPhone. Connect your Iphone to iTunes and read through the tabs at the top of iTunes. Eg. Applications, Ringtones etc

I think you have got it, but if you want to take it one step further, you can make a profile on the PC for your wife, and she logs into that PC profile, and should be able to setup her own address book and calendar, etc. in Outlook, and still have access to all the music and apps through iTunes.

Sounds like a second profile is certainly the way to go... same applications, different PIM data.

Thanks!

If you don't feel like pimping different user accounts, there is dedicated software such as iLibs (http://www.copytrans.net/ilibs.php) that can assist you in creating multiple iTunes libraries on the same computer/user account.
