3G Maps problem [Archive]

I have a 3G iPhone that is jail broken.
There is something wrong with my maps application. It does not download any map tiles anymore unless i am on wireless connection.

It started when I installed MapsOffline application. I decided to uninstall MapsOffline and ever since then I am unable to get map tiles downloaded to my iphone when I am driving using the gps. The gps still works...the blob moves...but against an empty background.

Could anyone please help?

I am by no means an expert, but it sounds like something a simple restore would fix.

yup, just restore then rejailbreak, i would bet my left not on the fact that it fixes it. if not pm me and i will fix it for you (cause i'm not giving up my left nut).

I have done a full restore to factory settings, jailbreak it and sync.
It worked for a while. Then i installed a few apps. It stopped working.

One question: Do i have to switch on EDGE and 3G together? cos i found that when i use bossprefs to switch OFF EDGE and wireless leaving 3G ON, maps did not work. When I switch on EDGE and 3G, it worked.
