iPhone Update Question

Is there anything that a software update cannot do for the iPhone?

No 3G and No GPS. According to various take-apartdisection websites the physical componenets needed for this aren't there. So you can not magically turn it on if it doesn't exist.

A lot of people where theorizing (myself included) that you would get 3G and GPS with a later update like they did with the laptops and 802.11n. However according to various websites the physical components needed fo rthese features are non-existant.

And Kolizion was saying there would be a GPS attachment available at purchase.:)
