Hi hope this post is under the right area of forums lol.

Ok so i have an iphone and the most up to date version of itunes i bough a track from the online store to put as a ring tone on my iphone, when i got this error.

iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unknown error occurred (11556)

Make sure your network connection is active and try again.

well it is active as it just let me buy and download a track.. so thats how i'm confussed please help.

Yes - use iRinger (http://www.iringer.net) ...it's free an easy to use! (For PC only)

LOL, I was just about to suggest iRinger too :tounge:

It's awesome...it imports the song you choose, you cut the 30 seconds you want from it for the ringtone, and then it automatically exports it to iTunes :laugh2:

Sweet! thanks guys i'll give it ago, Shame i dont live in the USA it would just work... lol typical for us euro's we never get the fully usefull programs :P

Just gotta warn you though, there is an advertisement box that won't go away unless you donate to the creator. It's not a big deal though, it's easy to ignore :smile:

right o, thanks again guys had my iphone 2 days and had hundreds of phone calls blasting out the crap tunes that come with the phone, also is there a way to change message tones?

You're right - I did donate the developers because iRinger is a great easy-of-use program!

I used iRinger before I got my mac, but never donated. What effects do you speak of?

You'll get some reverb, delay, boost etc. when donate.
