is their any app to make the Iphone home screen act like the blackberry storm home screen ( rotate it sideways)?

unfortunately no, although there have been a couple vids of it doing it floating around out there.
I think for such a thing to be implimented, Apple themselves are going to have to write it into the OS. Any 3rd party attempt would be a violation of the SDK agreement. Same initial reason you will never see flash on the iphone.
