I have a contact in my phone, let's call her Rubi. Whenever I call Rubi, the call goes through fine, blah blah blah. But when I try to text message her, I get an error message saying that I need to re-send using a valid 10 digit number. I know for a fact that I'm using a regular 10 digit number, and I've tried everything short of a Restore. Anyone have any advice? I really am at my wit's end. I've tried typing the number in manually from a blank text message, tried everything.

The number is in this format: (XXX) XXX-XXXX, right?

It is. I've tried saving it with and without the "+1" before the number.

Have you went in and deleted her contact and then re-added her? I would do that if not.

Are you sure you're not trying to text her home number instead of mobile?

I'm positive. Her mobile is the only number I have.

Stupid question, but are you 100% positive it IS her mobile number?

In texas where I'm at you CAN text home numbers. It calls you and reads the text message in a robotic voice. It works where I'm at anyway. Try to delete the contact and re add it.

Heheh, yeah. I got it from her herself, and when I call her, it's her. And to top it all off, I receive any texts she sends me, I just can't reply!

I'm in Texas too!

At any rate, I've deleted and re-added her numerous times.

Does she get texts from anyone else?

Yeah, she can. It's starting to get a bit frustrating. I think a restore might be in order once I get home. Am I going to lose all my contacts?

No. Just go to "import contacts from sim" its in setting "phone". Or "mail". U wont loose anything

Alright, got a screenshot for you guys, maybe you'll recognize it.

The whited out part is just a link to the number that I sent the message to, and the "Hey Rodriguez!" part at the end is the message that I sent.

Any ideas?

That's the number that AT&T sends the error message from. All the same, I tried the parenthesis as you suggested, no success. =/

Maybe iPhone users can receive and send MMS this way...and a nice lady explain how the picture look like....LOL....sorry for getting off track here!

Let the AT&T do their work on this problem. I think you're doing anything right..

Yeah I'd be calling AT&T at this point.

It could be an error on her end as well, at least, if you're able to text others. Maybe she has text blocked on her phone?

She can text others as well. There's an AT&T store a little way from here, maybe I'll head on up there tomorrow after school. I absolutely despise Customer Support phone calls!

UPDATE: Okay, don't know how it happened, but I can text her now. I haven't changed her number in my contacts between the last time that it didn't work and now, so I guess it was a problem with one of uour carriers, that got noticed and fixed. Either way... I'm just glad I didn't have to get on the phone with AT&T, or to to the store.

Water pipes

I am thinking about buying some wholesale water pipes from this company in China *link removed*
but I am not sure if they are legal to bring in to the states? What are the laws on water pipes, bongs, and pipes?
WTH???
I think you have been hitting the pipe too hard as it is. Put that money into some munchies.:tounge:
