I've probably missed a setting, or something.

Is there a way to have mail that I delete from my computer, automatically deleted from the iPhone? And if I delete email from my iPhone, can it automatically be trashed on my Mac?

This will only work if you're using an IMAP server for e-mail, such as .mac (check with your ISP).
