Can anyone shed somelight on this? Why does the iPhone have bluetooth, if you cannot send songs? or Pair with other iPhone devices?
Just curious

You can connect bluetooth headsets to the device.

Surely that is not the only reason why bluetooth is on the iPhone 3G?

Someone is working on something called "bluesn0w" that is supposed to let you do whatever you want via bluetooth (send/receive files, etc).
Right now it's only terminal/command-line based so a GUI is probably coming soon.

LOL!
I can understand why apple hasn't made bluetooth more usable. Possibly scared that some whizz kid would create a hack or a software which could let you forward on music which people download from iTunes.
Since I dont have a bluetooth headset, its pretty pointless me switching bluetooth on, as it only drains my battery...
