Yeah it's a wifi only app. What does it do when you try to watch a movie?

I try to play a movie, then it buffers for like a second...then a pop-up comes up and says "movie can't be played". I've tried 10 different movies too just to make sure. Like I said before, I can watch everything else on there except the movies.

which movies have you watched on joost?
I have the same problem with the Joost app. It will buffer for a while and then gives me an error saying the movie can't be played. This in addition to the random crashes that plague this app make it a real disappointment.
Hopefully they will get an update out soon to fix some of these problems.

I've used Joost successfully to watch Star Trek episodes while at the YMCA using their free WiFi. I've also used it successfully at home.
When I was coming home from Seattle, I tried using Joost via the ATT WiFi. No luck. Out of curiosity, I used the iNetwork app to check the WiFi bit rate. The WiFi bit rate was showing as not much better than EDGE!
If the bit rate is too low, Joost will fail. That may be what you are seeing.
