Hey, i have a ipod touch 2g and i find it annoying to be only able to go online whenever there's a wifi connection. Is there anyone i can still have wifi while driving or near my car? Is there any device that i can take on the go that can provide some sort of wifi connection (maybe link to the wifi at home?). Thanks

you would need an AirCard from a cellular provider (basically a modem that gets internet access through cellular networks) plus an on-the-go router (like this one (http://www.cradlepoint.com/support/phs300)) to make the wireless network. There would be a monthly fee associated with the Aircard... usually ~$60.

The easier alternative would be to get an iphone.

well...good to know its possible. but the reason i bought the touch was because i can enjoy all the iphone's features plus internet access without monthly fees. any cheaper ways?

no. the only way to get internet on-the-go is through some kind of cellular service.

sorry.
