Does anyone know if Firefox is known to have compatibility issues with Mac OS? On my iMac, pages would lose all HTML coding and go into "No style" mode without me enabling it. I would have to quit Firefox and re-open it to fix it.
Now on my new Macbook, Firefox constantly stops responding and I get the "spinning beach ball of death." This happens daily, 2 or 3 times at max.
So is this a Firefox issue?

I run latest Firefox on a MacBook and have zero issues. It's fast and excellent to use.

When you say loose all HTML "no style" I think you mean loose CSS. Just choose basic style instead of no style and that should fix it. I use firefox on my macbook and it works fine.

Mine is also set to 'Basic Page Style' - never even noticed that setting before ...

Yeah I know about the basic style. What I mean is that the page looks like if it were in no style mode.
